What Causes Blocked Nose After Consuming Alcohol?

Hi doc,i have a problem whenever i consume alcohol but this does not occur everytime i drink beer. I tend to have blocked nose the whole night and they will open up in the morning. Before it happens it fills like my nasal passage is irritated i have to scratch it then my nose get blocked. What might be causing this in the ingredients of a beer?

Hello,

Cool drinks or ice-cream intake may cause nose block due to allergy in few patients. Avoid cool drinks and ice creams. Use tablet levocetirizine twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
