What Causes Bloating, Nausea And Vomiting Post Unprotected Sex?
Hi I was supposed to get a my second shot of nur isterate on the 16 th of September, but I didnt go and on the 25th of September I had unprotected sex.. Now a day or two afte the 25th I feel bloated, nauseas and today the 30th I gaged a lot when I was brushing my teeth and cleaning my tongue to a point I almost vomited.. Could it be possible that it is pregnancy?
It is highly unlikely for you to feel pregnancy symptoms a day or two after sexual intercourse. However, it was unprotected and you do have a significant chance of getting pregnant. I would have advised you for emergency contraception if it were still 72 hours since the sexual intercourse, but it is already October now.
If you haven't, I would highly recommend that you get a urine pregnancy test done. If you do plan to continue with your shots soon and won't be getting your periods during the shots, I would recommend getting a blood test for beta-hCG to make sure that you are not pregnant before you start the shots.
If you are not in a hurry to restart your contraceptive shots, then just wait for your next menstruation before you do.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Dr. Teh
