What Causes Bloating And Pressure In Abdomen Inspite Of Being On Synthroid?

My wife is taking synthroid and she is bloating. Her stomach (just below the ribs) is vary tight. She doesn t take Milk or anything else out of the ordinary. What can she do to relieve the pressure in the stomache/intestine area. I guess Gas X is out of the question because it interferes with the absorption on the Synthroid. Suggestion Any one.

I appreciate your concern for your beloved wife apparently suffering from constipation.

Incomplete data like her age, dosage of Synthyroid, her bowel habits, and any associated symptoms of acidity related stomach problems.

It could be due to inadequate dose of Synthyroid.

Patients with hypothyroidism should keep their TSH level between 0.45 and 4.12 mIU/L while taking Synthyroid.

Other causes could be less intake of dietary fiber or associated acidity related stomach problems.
