What Causes Blisters While Using Econazole For Rashes Under The Breast?
I have been using econazole nitrate 1% on rash under breast. It did work a year ago. This time I am getting blisters? Or is this Dove soap I am now using. I was using a baby shower wash before which was alright. I am allergic to many antibi. Which is the wrong thing to use.
Hi. As per your case history you may be having allergic reaction to econazole cream. My treatment advice is - 1. Stop using econazole cream as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it and a mild steroid cream like mometasone cream once daily. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. You can use a clotrimazole cream instead of econazole as it is less likely to cause allergic reaction.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
