What Causes Blisters On The Right Side Of The Lip?

I have (what I believe to be) a fever blister on the right side of my bottom lip, and it has made a yellowish scab, just as online sources said it would. But the right side of the lip where it is located is swollen to about twice the size. It is a bit painful. I woke up minutes ago to find a sort of ball located just below my gum line (outside my mouth, but underneath the skin) a little off to the right side of my mouth. I haven't a clue what it is, but it does move when I move it, and feels as though it is attached to something. Any ideas as to what is going on with my lip or the side of my face?
