What Causes Bleeding During Sex?

I have bleeding during sex. No pain, just bleeding. I have seen 3 doctors. The first two found nothing. The third found something like scar tissue on the wall of my vagina. She treated it with silver nitrate. I recently had sex for the first time in many months and the bleeding was still there. I need to find the cause and fix it. Can you give me any suggestions as to what this might be and what my next steps should be when I see my gyn?

Hi,
Firstly, exclude causes like rough intercourse leading to trauma to the soft parts and thereby bleeding, local lesions like vaginitis, cervicitis and erosions through vaginal swab, pap smear and cervical swab. As polyps and other pelvic causes have already been excluded, you should also get abnormal blood profiles excluded. Urinalysis is done to rule out any urinary infection. I think this should be investigation enough to locate the cause and plan further management. Hope your query has been answered. Wish you good health.
