What Causes Bleeding After First Time Sex?

Hi. My boyfriend and I had sex and it was only for a minute because it hurt instead of feeling good, that s why I asked him to stop. Then while we were kissing I felt something dripping down my legs and it was blood. A lot of it. I used 2 hand cloths to clean it up. And this has never happened before with my ex. it s also my first time doing it with my current boyfriend. What s wrong?

Hallow Dear,

Your query is rather confusing; however at couple of places you have mentioned this was your first ever sexual experience.

Woman's vaginal opening is covered by a fibro-muscular septum, just inside the opening. This is known as Hymen. During the first intercourse, due to the entry of penis in the vagina usually the hymen ruptures if it is not severed before that due to some other physical activities. Rupture of the hymen causes some amount of bleeding which may stain even the clothes. Nothing to worry about. The wound will heal subsequently. Edges of torn hymen are left as tags at the vaginal outlet and they are known as Myrtiformis carunculi.
