What Causes Bleeding After A Vaginal Hysterectomy And Bladder Lift?

I am 14 days post op from a vaginal hysterectomy and bladder lift w/mesh. I have been bleeding in small amounts since but have found that yesterday and today my bleeding has increased. I have no other symptoms however. No pain just what I would consider general discomfort. I am really not doing anything but resting. I dont go to see my OBGYN for another 4 weeks. Should I be worried?

Hello,

Mild bleeding is to be expected for 4 to 6 weeks after hysterectomy. However, if the bleeding is heavy like during menstruation it is best to follow up with your ObGyn to rue out ant vaginal tear, hemorrhage, etc.

Hope this answers your query
