What Causes Bad Odor In Nose With Green Mucus?

I had sinus , septoplasty and turbinate surgery 4 weeks ago this Wednesday. I was given a zpak to take the night prior to and few days after surgery. I had splints removed at the 5 day mark but have dissolvable packing that was to be gone by 2 weeks. I called the nurse several times as the pressure in my cheeks and forehead was getting worse. Said no need to see me but called in a steroid the second week. Since then I have had an odor of smelly feet in my nose and started blowing green mucus from my nose. I feel worse than I did the second week of surgery. I did go back last Tuesday and he said there is still some packing in there. I am convinced I have a Sinus infection as well. How long will I continue to irrigate several times a day and when will the smell go away?
