What Causes Fever After A Septoplasty?

My son Had septoplasty on april 12. Everything went well he had packing for 3 days and had been on atibiotics for 7 days after. Last monday he started to feel sick with fever going up to 102 on thursday we went to see a family doctor who told us that it is common and he has an infection so heput him back on antibiotic. He is feeling better with fever at 98 f now but he is coughing a lot and seems to be stuffed. Do i need to go back to the doctor and is this normal. Thank you

Hello,

Probably he may developed lower respiratory tract infection which may cause fever and cough.

Yes you may continue above antibiotics. If necessary use syrp ascoryl two teaspoons thrice a day for five days.

If no improvement please consult with your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
