General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The endometriosis confirmation has to be done with diagnostic laparoscopy and during the same time, larger lesions can be operated for laparoscopic excision as well if the hormone therapies are not providing enough or satisfactory results. So the goal of therapy would be conservative first and later on surgical if required in selected cases. Be sure this does not put an end to your athletic career for sure. Be positive, it would be fine very soon. Just remain in regular follow up with your OBGY for best results.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
