What Causes Pelvic Pain And Abdominal Bloating After A Hysterectomy?

I am a 34 year old woman who has had a complete hysterectomy(ovaries, uterus, tubes, cervix) and I still battle with endometriosis. I also have a bladder sling that was placed 3 years ago. I just had a surgery 2 months ago to remove more endometriosis. I have stopped all hormone replacement therapy because I am afraid it will grow back. I have been experiencing pelvic pain, lower back pain, and bloating for the past week. Could the bladder sling be causing problems? I am really concerned as to what to do.

Hi,

Normally after removal of bilateral ovaries endometriosis get cured itself if you are not on any hormone replacement therapy. But without hormone replacement, you may face some other untoward effect. It's your choice what you want.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Meena Jethani,
