What Causes Arms And Leg Pain When On Zocor For High Cholesterol?

I take zocor for high cholesterol, now my arms & legs hurt. My doctor took blood and tested me on the CK to see if the cholesterol pill was causing the problem, now she told me that the blood test came out normal. Does that usually happen when the cause of your problem is in fact the cholesterol pill?

Hi,

The arms and leg hurting might be a side effect of taking Zocor although CK was normal. It might be a n early sign of muscle damages (not that sever to cause CK changes).

I suggest to discuss with your doctor to change therapy for at least 3 months (no more statins). If the arms and leg pain will persist, then, should run arthritis testing.
