Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Do not use soap to clean around your anus when treating a hemorrhoid
-To minimize pain, soak in a warm tub of water for at least 10 minutes every day. You can also sit on a warm water bottle to relieve the pain of external hemorrhoids. If the pain is unbearable, use an over-the-counter medicated suppository, ointment, or cream to relieve the burning and itching.
-If you’re constipated, you can also use an over-the-counter fiber supplement to help soften your stool.
-Topical treatments, such as hydrocortisone or hemorrhoid cream, can ease your discomfort from hemorrhoids. Soaking your anus in a sitz bath for 10 to 15 minutes per day can also help.
-Practice good hygiene by cleaning your anus with warm water during a shower or bath every day. But don’t use soap, as soap can aggravate hemorrhoids. Also avoid using dry or rough toilet paper when you wipe after a bowel movement.
-Use a cold compress on your anus can help reduce hemorrhoid swelling. Pain relievers, such as acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or aspirin can also alleviate the pain or discomfort.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!

Hello,

The rash you describe around your anus may be a complication of hemorrhoid like thrombus or may be of infectious origin like anal warts. I will advise you see the doctor for examination as only a doctor's examination may help to know the cause. Feel free to see the doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mbuomboh Veranso

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Preparation H is used for the treatment of hemorrhoids. It is used for relieving pain, soreness, burning, itching and discomfort of the anal area caused by hemorrhoids.
You need to use this medication regularly to get the relief.
Kindly keep the area clean by cleansing with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon. After drying, apply Neomycin skin cream over the area. Take Tablet.Levocetirizine once a day to overcome itching symptom.
Avoid friction in the area by wearing loose undergarments, preferably made of cotton.
Avoid constipation by eating soft and easily digestible foods and taking stool softeners like Isapgol Husk powder.
Maintain good personal hygiene.
If the symptoms does not subside and get better by following above measures, you need to be examined by Surgeon and treatment shall be decided accordingly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.,
