What Causes An Intermittent Phantom Yeast-like Smell?
I have been smelling a sweetish/ yeasty odor for over a year. I ams the only one who smells this pleasant type of odor as it is not in the outside air. It s not unpleasant and it comes and goes without any rhyme or reason. Strange hugh. Any ideas?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of intermittent phantom yeast-like smell which is due to phantosmia i.e disturbance in olfactory sensations. It could be due to infection of sinus also known as sinusitis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor will take history or may order CT scan , blood test and nasal endoscopy.
Do nasal saline rinses and maintain hygiene. Start proper course of antibiotics along with decongestants and anti inflammatory medications after proper prescription. Take diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables. drink plenty of water along with that take green tea 2-3 times a day
