What Causes Absence Of Labor Pains Even After Having Medicines?

hello.. doctor.. may i know who is online actually i am 37 week 7 days pregnant. Last week i was admitted in the hospital due to high BP. I am under Aldomet Tablet now. Now my BP is be stabilized well. When i was admitted they induced me pain twice ( 4 tablet and more than 7 time they did sweeping also). Yet i didn t get any labour pain. I also diagnosed with Gestational diabetes. I am taking Metformin and Insulin also. But my sugar level is too much controlled now. Doctor adviced me to have sex with my husband which can cause pain. Is it safe for me and baby to have sex at this 38th week of pregnancy? Why i didn t get pain after inducing also? If someone can help me in this i will be greatful

Hi, thanks for writing..
In my opinion, you require an induction of labour with pitocin drip... On increasing the dose, you will get contrations.. Prostagladin gel or foley's induction can be done to dilate the cervix prior to the day of induction.. Sex at this point can cause membrane rupture and sometimes infection.. After getting good contraction, cervix will automatically dilate . Hope I have answered your query.. Good day..
