What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Delay In Periods Despite Having Negative UPT?

I got my Nexplanon implant out 9/9. I read that your fertility can return quickly. I was on the implant for three months and only had one cycle (6/22). I didn t start a new method and I ve been having unprotected sex. I was due to get my period 9/14, but I had only cramping for the first day and no blood. I took a pregnancy test 9/21, but figured that it was negative because it could be too soon to test. When would be a good time to test? I m extremely nervous and rather anxious.

hi
thank you for asking your concern madam and welcome to hcm. yes you are right regain of fertility is quick enough after its removal but this may not be the case for every person. even it is documented of regaining quick fertility this may take upto 2-4 weeks some time. it takes 2-3 weeks on an average to get UPT positive after fertilization happens. in case of reversal from contraception it is difficult to judge when ovulation occurs and some time it may take one month to have ovulation. i suggest you to repeat the UPT test after 2-3 weeks. you can consult your gynecologist to have ultrasound and check ovulation status.
if you feel any doubt please ask us
regards
