What Casues Delayed Periods And Severe Abdominal Cramps?

Hai, My period was delayed for 45 days.Had some pregnanct symptoms. But I had my periods on Monday(3july2017)night.On Tuesday morning I got heavy cramps thought I miscarried. When I went to doctor he prescribed regestrone 5mg for five days. Bleeding stops the next day(Wednesday). I m bleeding again today(Friday). What causes this bleeding?Thanks in advance...

Regesterone contains progesterone. Progesterone will cause the bleeding to stop. Once the progesterone is stopped, withdrawal bleeding will begin in 3-4 day.It will likely stop in next few days.
The bleeding with cramps you experienced could have been an early miscarriage or menstrual bleeding. If the bleeding does not stop in next 7-10 days, follow-up with your doctor.
