What Causes A Strong Odour After Having Sex?
What would cause a foul smelling odor after sex? My husband and I use the withdraw method, so I don t think it could be his cum or an intolerance to a condom or spermaside. The smell didn t appear during sex or right after, however several hours later it started to smell. I showered and washed the area well however even after a shower the smell was present. Infact maybe stronger. The towel I used to dry the vaginal area also accumulated the same smell. I have not had any discharge of any kind tho and by morning the smell was gone. What would cause this smell to occur after sex but then be gone so quick?

It is natural to smell different after sex as body fluids come in contact and the vaginal pH. It changes for some time. The semen may interact with vaginal fluids contributing to strong and a different odor. Take care of your hygiene after sex, you should urinate after sex. If not planning for a baby, wash the vulva area with water.
Avoid douching but do take regular bath and with the help of a washcloth wipe the area. To avoid smell, avoid the use of perfumed soap and body products. Your partner should also take care of hygiene. Prefer to take bath before and after sex. In case you are smelling bad then you should check if you are suffering from some type of infection, like bacterial vaginosis, yeast or fungal infection.
