What Causes A Bump On The Uvula And Excessive Mucus In Nasal Passage?

I am 24 yrs male, 178 cm weighing at about 158 lbs. I have recently noticed a a bump of some sort on the base of my uvula. I am sexually active and i practice oral sex with my partner. I have also been produces excessive cold like mucus for the pass week in my nasal passage. Ce some sort of sti? please help!!!!

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain excessive mucous production can be due to a number of causes like Upper Respiratory Tract Infection, Sinusitis, chest infection, acid reflux etc..
A bump on uvula seems to be due to post nasal drip causing infection and Excessive mucous production..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like sputum culture, throat swab culture, pH level of throat, chest x ray etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
In case of infection antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller, decongestant, anti allergics and mucolytics can be advised to you..
Warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and decongestant nasal spray can help..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
In case of acid Reflux antacid, Proton pump inhibitor like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole and taking light diet and doing moderate workout can help..
