What Causes UTI Along With Hip Pain?

yes... I have a question...

I have had pain in my hip on and off since August. After going to an Ortho (had an MRI) and a Rheumatologist, they didn't find what was causing the hip pain itself. Ok, one of the docs ordered a bunch of blood tests and a urine sample. The urine sample tested positive for a uti...I was given Bactrin 800mg twice a day, and my hip pain ceased! I was on the bactrin for 2 back to back 10 day scripts. I've been off the bactrin for about a week, and I wake up this morning with an uti, and hip pain AGAIN! I went to my doc for the urine test. Anyway...My question is: Why are these two things happening together? I had a bladder lift/hysterectomy in May, and I honestly think I must have had the uti all summer. Could it cause residual hip pain?Have you ever heard of this? All 3 of my docs assure me that I don't have a hip infection, they just really can't answer my problem.
