What Cause Thick Brownish Vaginal Discharge?

I have asked my regular gyno on regular occasions about dark colored discharge. She assured me I was fine. However, now the consistency has changed, it is no longer the texture of regular discharge or chocolate mousse, it has become incredibly thick. It almost feels like it s not a liquid at all. It is a dark almost black color. This is making me nervous and I don t know how to make it stop. I don t want to live with this for the rest of my life.
