General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You are nearing menopause and periods will cease by this age. As the thickness of your uterine wall (endometrial thickness) is high, the surgery will be the best option as it can be a sign of endometrial cancer.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
