What Can Cause Tissue Overlap On My Toenail?

Ok, on my big toe, I have some tissue from the side that seems to be over laping my toenail. its a flap of skin. This is causing, pus, blood and clear fluid to ooze, and my toe is red around the nail. It also hurts. What should I do, and what is causing this.

From your description, it seems that you may be having an ingrown toe nail with infection. You need to take a course of oral antibiotics like penicillin or cephalosporin. The grading of the ingrown toe nail needs to be assessed as the treatment depends on the grade. In your case, you may need a nail avulsion procedure with cauetrisation of the nail matrix to prevent recurrence of the ingrowing toe nail.
