What Can Cause Pain And Bumps Around The Anal Area After A Colonoscopy?

I am 51 yr old female who just had my first colonoscopy on Wednesday. Starting on Friday my anal area was getting a bit sore. It is very painful over the weekend. Have been putting antibiotic cream on it. I have all these white painful bumps around my anal area. Is it infected and do I need antibiotics to get rid of it. I am going to call my Doctor on Monday to see what he recommends.

You should see your physician to identify the white bumps, could be many different things from a virus to a bacterial infection, you may try sitz baths until you are able to see your doctor
