What Can Be The Reason For Blood Sugar Spiking To 200 Post Meals?
Hi doc, I am73yrs diabetic for25 hrs and am on combination drugs for diabetes and hypertension. My drugs are zomelismet,starves,glyree and ppt.my post meals BS spikes to 200! I read somewhere that starves and met or in combination could be responsible for this. What is your advise? Regards

dear sir I can understand your concern
there is nothing to worry since this is a natural happening in course of diabetes
This spiking of sugar might not be related to the combination of medications what you are on
I suggest you to see your treating doctor and check for Hba1c
consuming food with high glycemic index is also one of the resone for sugar spike post meal in such case splitting of meal will reduce the spike
