What Are These Medicines Taken For : 1) C Petiol D 2) Ommacatil 40 Mg ?
this is for my father who has recently been diagonosed with Tubercolisis. doctor had prescribed few medicines to cure th same & the prescribed medicines have been taken from the past 2.5 months. Few days back he added few more medicines & i am not aware that why these medicines are for Please help following are the lost of medicines, pleae confirm what are all these medicines for: 1) C Petiol D 2) Ommacatil 40 mg 3) Solonex DT 100 mg My dad s age is 61 years & he has no past medical problems. Please help.

There is standard treatment for tuberculosis,having minor alterations in the drugs.
it is to be continued for 6-9 months.
Tuberculosis is completely curable.
Consult pulmonologist for proper treatment and follow up.
Give high nourishing diet and multivitamin supplements.

1.petiold is pantoparazole simply a antacid used for acidity,as your father is taking many medicine in order to reduce acidity,is given.
2.omnactil
Its a glucocortcoid i.e a steroid Prednisolone can be easily used for many purpose,it is used as pulsed dose..solonex dt ispiroxicam that is gud

Read your prob, in case of tuberculosis omnacortil is contraindicated , it causes flare up tuberculosis , so not given in tuberculosis. it is only given in brain TB. so if your father has beem suffering from TB he should not take omnacortil. solonex DT 100mg is drug of TB contain isoniazid, but this dose is given in children , this dose is not effective in adult, petiol D is for gastritis. so you should discuss it with your doc n start proper treatment, as TB is curable.
