What Are The Treatments For Ear Pain, Difficulty In Hearing And Wax Build Up?

Hi ive got earache in left ear. When i burp it hurts. I suffer from wax build up so i have used drops three nights this week and tried to clean them with cotton buds. I cannot hear properly in the left ear either. Im worried as I am flying next saturday to go on holidays! Help!

your history suggests typical symptoms of having impacted wax in the ear.
burping per se has nothing to do with the pain in the ear , it is usually the opening of mouth associated with burping which may cause pain in the ear.
difficulty in hearing is also possible if the wax is obscuring the ear canal completely.
Flying will not aggravate the symptoms .
you may use wax softening ear drops for 5-7 days, then visit an ENT specialist for removal of the wax by instruments or syringing.

i would have preferred to have other details from you like age , diabetic status and any pus oozing from the ear.
