What Are The Symptoms Of Seizure?

Everytime my 2 month old son is starting to fall asleep his body stiffens, his toes point inward, and he stops breathing. This happens multiple times while trying to fall asleep. It does not happen any other time. Is this a possible seizure? should I take him to the ER?

Hello,

Yes, it could be a seizure, but seizure can occur any time, it has no relevance with sleep.

During seizures, the baby doesn't respond to the verbal or physical response, the body may be stiffened or complete lax or may have frothing from the mouth, may pass urine continuously.

A seizure may involve the whole body, or one side of the body, it may involve only a part such as a mouth twitching, finger or arm movement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sachin Kumar Agarwal
