What Are The Symptoms Of Addison S Disease?

I ve had severe ibs-c, severe depression, and fatigue my whole life. I either too much, or go for 2-3 days without it. The past few years I ve started have lost feeling in mostly the left side of my body. For a time the free clinic I m using prescribed me adderal. It was great a first but every so often when using it my body would over react these symptoms and would basically make me call the er. They said I had low potassium and sent me home. I m curious if I actually have addison s disease or not.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If Addison disease is there then corticosteroid deficiency will be there then you may feel weakness, hypoglycemia, hypokalemia or sweating, hypotension etc. Once again check your server cortisol levels. For Addison disease supplementation of oral corticosteroid or injections is sufficient. If it is due to only hypokalemia them it may be due to periodic hypokalemia paralysis or renal loss of pottacium or diuretics uptake etc. Check serum Pottacium frequently then eat pottacium high foods like , banana, coconut water, turmeric etc. Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
