Hello,

Pletoz is a drug known as cilastozol. It is used to keep the arteries in your leg patent. As you have a history of heart disease and plaque build up in your arteries, it is likely that you suffer from peripheral artery disease as well. Which means that the circulation to your legs are not great. Walking can cause pain. Pletoz helps with widening the arteries to improve circulation. It is to be taken once a day.

Some of the side effects are:
Headache
Palpitations
Abnormal stool
Diarrhea
Dizziness
Nausea
Bleeding disorder
Edema (swelling)
Flatulence

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
