Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Its definitely unrelated to Surgery. Most coomon cause for ASD(arterio septal defect ) in child is Rheumatic heart disease.
Pain in leg especially joints is likely to be due to Rheumatic heart disease. I would suggest you to consult Pediatrician for further assessment.

In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Wishing you happy and healthy life

Take Care
