I have been on synthroid 0.05mg for the past 2 years or so. I stopped taking it aprox 2 mos ago as a result of strange and disturbing symptoms, such as the sensation that my feet are cold, and tingle even though they are warm to the touch. Swollen and very sore inguinal lymph nodes, moderate hair loss, thick white vaginal discharge, peri anal rash, severe ezema. The lymph nodes, and rash seem to subside as soon as my period starts. I have episodes where I feel like my skin is crawling, and I feel very agitated, and unable to relax. Ifeel like I want to "jump out of my skin". I have had blood work including TSH liver functon. I have been tested for all STD's, and had a pap smear. All had come back normal. My doctor refuses to refer me to a specialist, although I am finding it more and more difficult to cope with the very bizzare changes to my body. I have consulted an homepath who suggested fish oils to help balance my hormones, and kelp to help with the thyroid function. Could my other hormones be affection the function of my thyroid? If so what can I suggest to my doctor. I would be very grateful for any insight you might have to resolving this issue. Please help.
