HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Paroxetine is in the family of drugs called SSRI. They are used mainly for depression and/or anxiety.

It is a safe medication and has been used for a long period of time. Like all medications there are potential side effects but these effects may not occur in many persons using the medication.

It can be used for as long as you and your doctor think it is necessary and should only be discontinued on the advice and direction of your doctor.
If it is to be discontinued, the dose would be reduced in a steady manner to avoid any problems.

I hope this helps
