Hello welcome to HCM

Ambien is Zolpidem and the drug belongs to Z-drugs which are hypnotic drugs use in sleep problems. Over all in prescribed doses the drug is safe to use and in normal individuals even 5-10 mg doses help in sleep. High doses may cause symptoms like dizziness, depression, mood lability, confusion etc symptoms. These side effects are not permanent and usually reduce with stopping the drug. One of serious concern associated with prolonged use of drug is its potential to cause dependence. The drug may result in development of tolerance and it may cause dependence so have high abuse potential.

Take the drug with proper prescription only.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
