What Are The Remedies For Constipation?

I am aged 62 years old and BP Patient I am consuming tablets and P is under control .I am suffering severe constipation problems since 6-7 years and and I am taking Ayurveda Churna for softening the stools daily
Recently I went colonscopy and and there find some polypof 1CM which was not removed. The doctor sent the samples to lab and found that there was no adverse report. The doctor conducted USG and LFT and other test which are normal. Then the doctor advised to take creamadiet But constipation is continued what is the remedy

Hi,
* Taking medicines/laxatives for constipation is hbbit forming & ineffective after some time.
So the laxatives and stool softners are to be used with reservations.
* life style changes do control constipation . They are-
Eating balanced diet with lots of Fibers ( fruits/vegetables/ salads/ whole grams/sprouts with skins.Avoiding fast food helps.
Lots of water /soups/juices/buttermilk through out the day.
Drinking a mug of Luke warm water with 1 tea spoon of honey & lemon juice -first thing in the morning.
Daily walking for 45 minutes and abdominal exercises for 20 minutes+
yoga for 25 minutes daily.
Have 8 hours sound sleep per day.
Form regular habit of time for deification.
Are to be incorporated in your daily routine.Few conditions like Diabetes, hypothyroidism cause bowel slowing & constipation. They need to be excluded/treated.
