What Are The Possible Ways From Which I Could Have Contracted HPV Which Appeared On The PAP Test?
I am 45 y/o and just had a PAP test and found I have HPV. I have been married for almost 20 years and both my husband and I have been monogomous. We met in college in the mid 90's and did have multiple sex partners before we met. My question is could the virsus lay dormant for that long? He has never had any signs of the virsus I have read online, nor have I.

Your doubt is quite right, such vital infection remains inside the body system for life time without any clinical manifestation but of course some time that becomes clinically symptomatic too, depends upon the compatibility, and over all immune system, weak immune system can easily manifest, if have history of exposure then the positive findings are very likely, take care and have word with your doctor, bye.
