What Are The Implications Of Pus Cells In Semen Analysis?
Hello, please I want to know the implication of Pus cells (3-2) in semen. I had a semen analysis done last week, the ph level 8.0. I feel a slight burning sensation in my left scrotum and right next to the left side of my navel. Also there are visible veins on my left scrotum when it sags. I have been asked to see a urologist but I really want to have an idea before hand.
Also 40% of my sperm are active, 40% were said to be dead and 20% sluggish. These are all from the sperm analysis I ran last week.
Your semen analysis report suggests infection.Probably you are also suffering from surgical condition called as varicocele. You need to be examined by a surgeon for varicocele. Infection is indicated by the presence of pus cells in semen. Normally there shouldn't be any pus cells in semen. Infection may be due to prostatitis,UTI etc. You need antibiotics for infection. You need few more investigation like routine hemogram,Semen culture and sensitivity,RBS,Ultrasound of pelvis should be done.Trans rectal sonography of prostate can be done if needed. Proper antibiotics should be prescribed after culture and sensitivity report. Motility is acceptable.
Get well soon. Hope I have answered your question.
