What Are The Different Pre-marital Blood Tests Required?

Hi, I am Suman. Planning for marriage. I could list out few pre-marital blood test to be done - X linked disease trait thalasemia STDs hormone and semen analysis rh factor sickle cell factor tay sachs thyroid hepatitis Please guide if few more tests to be added or dropped as not required? Also anything specific for men and female separate categiores?

You have already figured out an exhaustive list of tests.
You can add HIV status for both male and female, blood groups of both male & female.
VDRL for syphilis.
In hormonal assay, thyroid hormone profile is important for the female.
Test for thalasemia should be retained.
Semen analysis will tell youabout the fertility of the male. This test is may be added if the boy is willing.
Besides these it is iportant to get blood glucose levels checked and base line blood pressure done especially in case of female. This is because these parameters have a very important bearing on pregnancy.
