What Are The Consequences Of Abdominal Peritonitis?

My mom has eschemic colon and is too sick to survive surgery. She is 6 weeks post op CABG and in renal failure. She is receiving comfort care now. Her abdomen is getting harder so nurse feels peritonitis is setting in. I am here with her and she no longer responds to comands. What should I expect in the next 24 hours.

Dear TT possible causes are constipation or stool impaction, uremic gastropathy, paralytic ileus, peritonitis etc..

Please confirm the cause by USG abdomen)erect x-ray abdomen. CT abdomen may also useful.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
