What Are The Chances Of Survival After Induced Coma Following A Heart Attack?
My mother in law suffered a heart attack or cardiac arrest this afternoon. She as been put into an induced coma and they hope to bring her out in 24/48 hours. She is 75 years old and apparently has a heart murmor which we weren't aware of ( although she was). I know a generic question but what are her chances?

So the best thing to do is to treat the heart in order to avoid cardiogenic shock (this is the reason of induced coma).
