What Are The Chances Of HIV NAT At 2 Months Post Exposure Being False Negative?

Long story short... I experienced a needle stick at work. The pt's HIV status was unknown, and I tested HIV negative at 1 and 2 months with the traditional antibody test taken at the hospital I work for. I also went out on my own and got an HIV NAT test done just short of 2 months and it came back negative. I am wondering, what are the chances of HIV NAT at 2 months post exposure being a false negative?

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have exposure with needle stick injury. Your both antibody test are negative and NAT also negative. Chance are very low of fslse negative. You have almost negligible or nil chance of having hiv. So don't worry. Just be relaxed. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
