What Are My Chances Of Getting HIV At This Time?

Hi My question is regarding hiv transmission. 6 weeks ago I had intercourse with a prostitute. I used condom. But what I did is I shaved the area near penis before intercourse. and 2 week after I got cold and cough. 4 weeks later my skin started itching very much specailly chest area and neck. there is no rash as such but small pimples. I have tested after 2 weeks elisa test. it came negative. but still i am scared. I am waiting for conclusive test after 3 months. whhat are the chances of my infection with hiv. i had no other symptoms such as fever and all. please suggest

Hello
Sexual intercourse with CONDOM ( protected sex ).
Shaved area before sexual encounter.
You don't know the HIV status of that female but even with HIV infected ( documented cases ) transmission of HIV infection is ~0.3% in intact skin exposure ( your case come under this category ) and in mucous membrane it is 0.09%( even if minor abrasion , there is no danger of transmission of HIV infection).
Approximate period of time between initial infection and development of detectable antibodies is 2 weeks and you got the test and it is NEGATIVE ( PROOF THAT YOU ARE HIV free).
Cough , cold after sexual encounter may be due to flu or sore throat .
While itching on the chest and neck may be scabies or louse born infection from that female . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a dermatologist .
Since you are about to go for conclusive test , so please get in it as it will remove your tension.
As you yourself mentioned in the query that you don't have fever , diarrhea etc , main symptoms of HIV ( ACUTE SYNDROME ).
In my opinion you are HIV free.
Hope this will help you.
