Vomiting Blood, Nausea, Smell Of Drug Smoke In Neighborhood. What To Do?
Hi, I have just vomited up bright red blood. The nausea came on me suddenly with no other symptoms. For info, I have been complaining to the police and my doctor lately about a strong smell of drugs smoke coming through from the adjoining property and on a recent occasions I experienced fumes or some kind of vapourised (chemical?) which almost made me go unconscious - I called the police and also went to visit my doctor. I am concerned that the vomiting up of blood is somehow related to the substances I have been inhaling/injesting from the neighbouring property. Please can you advise me what I should do. As it's now past midnight, I would rather not go to hospital now, is it safe for me to wait until the morning?
Hi, Vomiting blood is a serious symptom and you should seek medical attention instantly. Bleeding form the stomach/gut can deteriorate rapidly and it is better to go to the hospital. Smoke or chemical in the form of gas rarely cause bleeding form gut or stomach; it could be a coincidence. However, it is not an impossibility. So my advise is for you to get to a hospital
Hope this will help. Dr Rogers
