Vision Got Blurry, Heart Racing Fast, Hands Shaky, Cold Sweats. Is It Because I M Not Getting Very Much Sleep?

I am a little worried right now. I was at work and out of no where my vision got blurry. My heart was racing fast and it still is. My hands were very shaky until I got home and layed down. I ve had cold sweats for the last couple of nights. Is it because I m not getting very much sleep? I work full time and I m only 18 years old ,19 in September.

Hello,
welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Your symptoms are related to anxiety and panic attacks. Panic attacks are severe episode of anxiety lasted for 15-60 Minutes followed by fear of developing such attack in future.

Panic attacks can also be caused by medical conditions and psychological reasons. If you’re suffering from symptoms of panic, it’s important to see a doctor to rule out the following possibilities:
-Post viral infection stage: as your leucocyte count are raised and liver enzymes are raised.
-Hyperthyroidism
-Hypoglycemia
-Stimulant use (amphetamines, cocaine, caffeine), so stop use if present.
-Medication withdrawal
-Mitral valve prolapse, a minor cardiac problem that occurs when one of the heart’s valves doesn't close correctly.
-Psychological reason: Due to anxiety or depression or in absence of above medical reasons.

So, get yourself evaluated for above problems from psychiatrist and general physician. Till that time you can use benzodiazepines group of medicine for symptomatic relief after prescription from physician.

Wish you good health and all the best.
