Very Painful Elbow And Knee, Mild Dementia, Has Thyroid Replacement, Worsening Since Prednisone Usage. Thoughts ?

I am a private care-giver who has a clt w/RA very painful elbow & knee. she also has 30% kidney function. only give her 325tyle for severe pain 'otherwise ace wrap/ice for mild/mod pain. she does have a mild/mod dementia which has ben worsening since the Pred use. she gets in ''loops'', more difficult to distract, & increasingly more unsafe behavior. she is also on Thyriod replacement. those levels will be checked in two days. I also asked the family member to a BMP. the Pred is 5 ms. what are your thuoghts

Hi ! The patient in this situation has got a multi organ problem which may worsen if not looked after well. Therefore, I would suggest you to get the patient reviewed in a multi speciality hospital, where the concerned specialists under one roof can have better co-ordination between themselves and accordingly can manage the patient more efficiently.
