Vertigo, Smells Burnt Popcorn, Concussions. Scheduled MRI. What Is The Cause?

For the last yer I have had periods of vertigo lasting various days or weeks. Currently I am now in my fourth week of debilitating vertigo. Another symptom has been odd smells ie burnt popcorn. Over the last 43 years I have suffered 8 concussions. Could this be the cause of my vertigo? I am scheduled for an MRI tomorrow.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, as you have concusions, previously, it must be the cause of the vertigo you are experiencing these days. Other causes could be infection of the internal ear, or ischemia of the brain, or anemia.
I advise you to consult a neuro physician for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
