Using Hearing Aids For Blocked Canal, Stapendectomy Didn T Help. Why Able To Hear Better While Blowing Nose?
I had a stapendectomy in 2003. Have blockage of right canal (tube). Surgery didn t help, have had bte aid since and an itc aid in left ear to balance out. Right ear 95 percent dead, left ear 35 percent dead. Why can I hear better out of my right ear, aid or not, when I hold my nose and blow

It is because of the air you push inside the mkiddle part of ear.
There is always motion of air in addition to the ossicles or the ear bones inside the middle eaer . In otosclerosis the bones get fixed and so the inprovemnet in hearing is because of the air.
My advice is to use hearing aid . Get a better hearing aid but it is must otherwise there will be long term problem if not used like the response of the brain will be decreased.
