Uses Pred Forte For Detached Retina In Right Eye, Gets Blister On Cornea, Bleeds When Touched. Can I Use Same Drops ?

My Mother uses Pred Forte 1% eye drops. She has a detached Retina in her right eye. Every so often she gets like a blister on the Cornea. She ran her finger over her eyelid accidentally touching the Cornea with her finger causing her eye to start bleeding a little. Could she use the Pred Forte drops in that same eye?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..
Since when is she using Predforte eyedrops?
When was the retina detachment diagnosed? Is she a diabetic? Was she diagnosed with PDR(proliferative diabetic retinopathy)
Retinal detachment should be managed surgically...?
Or if it is long standing and chances of visual recovery are less even after surgery, surgery may not be opted for..
There should be some other pathology along with for which Predforte might have been prescribed..
Blister over cornea may be due to edema..
She can continue using Predforte but a comprehensive ocular examination is required to know the diagnosis and accordingly treatment can be planned..
If you can provide with other details I can give a better answer..
Will be available for further queries...Take care..
