hi Doc can u pls explain the result of my urinalysis? im 20y ,, color: light yellow; transperancy: slightly cloudy; RBC : 0-1/hpf; WBC: 3-5/hpf; Epithelial Cells: few; Bacteria:few; Mucus Threads: Few; Amorphous Urates: Many.. What should i do doc,, Im worried of my result especially that word many fron Amorphous Urates,, Thanks

Hi!
your urine report shows 3-5 WBCs/hpf which may be due to mild urinary tract infection.As I can see your main concern is about amorphous urate crystals,they are very common findings in my patients and are mostly diet related.They sometimes are seen more prominently if urine is examined after refrigeration.They usually are not clinically significant but sometimes they might point at uric acid disorders.you dont need to worry with this report!Take care!
